i forgot you had puddy cats ISOM, how daft of me. My twit twoo (twix) felt the need to get very involved in the visit from the vicar tonight, but at least the forms are complete and our banns will be read. I think she want's to be a bridesmaid and is upset we didn't ask her lol
re ebayer - bought 7 items from me (i hadn't mentioned a postage discount). I did knock some off, of what she agreed to pay but now she wants a refund for the difference between what she paid and what the PO charged me because she's a single, invalid, lone parent. I've told her she agreed to the contracts, i gave her a discount, it's more than just what the PO charged, it was a 25 mile trip both ways to a post office open outside my working hours and the sob story is irrelevant, she made the bids.
I'm waiting for the next fireworks, she's threatening to leave negative feedback, guess that's why she keeps hers 'private', but i've decided that despite the fact i have a tendancy to stew over things like this and build it up into being much worse than it actually is i'm just going to let her do what she wants and stop worrying.
As for better news, i'm off to Norwich tomorrow for a day of shopping with my friend. She's the one spending money and i'm looking for wedding shoes ONLY! So may not be around too early tomorrow night Pania, but i won't be too late as i want to leave before the rush hour. And the less time spent the less dangerous it will be, fingers crossed anyway!0 -

Hello Peepys,
Sorry for vanishing last night, was being a right grumpy mare and didn't wish to inflict myself on people when in that mood!Had just had one of those days which was dull dull dull but everything that could go wrong, did.
Having a better day today and have actually got some work done. Spent £8 something on ebay though, buying a scanner. Because we deal with so many peoples documents and I have to fax them which isn't clear at all it is just so much easier to be able to scan and e-mail. It is a new one and I had a £5 in paypal anyway so total cost i think was £12.20 for a new boxed scanner.:D
Have saved £13 across to my a+l account and took £20 cash out yesterday of which i have £11.96 left after spending out £1.85 on photocopying. £3.49 on printer paper and £2.70 on a sandwich, drink and lovely cheese scone for afternoon tea.
Atleast the copying and paper can be reclaimed as expenses from work (hmmm wonder if i can get away with claiming for the scanner to?) and i'm popping the 96p into the semi-sealed pot as we speak! so, £11 left in the purse and £12.89 in the bank, worked out as 63.11 (yesterdays opening balance) £13.11 transferred to savings. =£50-£20 cash = £30, £8.92 tesco shopping last night... £8.19 on scanner this morning = £12.89 so a grand total of 23.89 until monday...
what do I need?
Large postage stamps £2.24 for a book of 4
postage for books £5
food £5
petrol top up if absolutely necessary £5.
total £17.24 leaving £6.65
not looking too good and not to pleased with that, was hoping for more left over, £19.76 isn't much to rave about saving during the month. next month dawns the era of the spending diary though so i can use that to cut down.
We also took our eye off the ball with the food shopping this month. We didn't put it in the jar on payday as usual but bought it in dribs and drabs, which has cost me well over my £50 budget and OH well under his £100! Still I have chopped toms for spaghetti tomorrow night, bread, oven chips etc. top that up with some eggs from the farm shop and a bit of cheese to go with the spaghetti that'll get us to monday no worries (esp if we can "get invited to" sunday lunch at OH's folks;) )
Just counted the semi-sealed-easily-unsealed-pot and it has £14.11 inside, including 4 of those lovely shiney £2 coins. shiiineyyyy!!!!! :rotfl: so will keep adding to that total next month, and the month after, and the month after....:D
Lots more to go on ebay so will get that done tomorrow or saturday (got a sign up saturday morning so will do in the avo)
Gosh so much to plan and so much to do.....:D
Right back to work...:cool:debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
afternoon! Good to see that youre feeling a bit better today. Some days you just get like that eh! At the end of the day 19 saved is 19! Its not over budget and thats the main thing - unlike my 90 over last month!! So try & say well done you
Mr Piggy is coming on nicely (or is a Miss Piggy - you decide!!)...£8 for a scanner is very good!
Yes tree Martin is energetic. I'm assuming that he is quiet at home as surely noone can be that energetic for that long?!! Bless him! Martin the marvellous! Very exciting re the shoes...can you post pretty picture when you have them?! Lol re cats - my boss popped in yesterday & is not a cat person which they definately sence - manu cat was all over her, lying on her back with her "look arent I cute", brusing up against her & was ignored (she knows all the tricks - human & otherwise!!) which she wasnt happy about & isnt used to!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hi Pania
I'm sure your bingo money will be fine till Monday - my 2nd win today was via money left sitting there since mid January, after a previous win (my first!). I think you've done brilliantly on the money - I'm dead impressed with your bargain scanner, thats really good, & they're so useful. I use it to copy certificates and letters and stuff for my genealogy hobby, plus the odd receipt for mystery shopping, plus today I've been scanning newsletters and getting ready to chuck them (will only do so when I've backed them up). So pat yourself on the back for that scanner!
I'm a cat person! My cats were lovely.... the youngest one would crawl slowly along the back of the settee towards someone, so that she could purr in their ear.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
