Hellooooo everyone!!!! And a VERY happy Valentines day to one and all...gosh so many posts while i've been away, am sorry for not replying sooner but work decided to hold the meetings at a different hotel, one without wireless access where i also had to stay the night!!!
Thank goodness I had one of my new books with me!!:D

OK so first the purpose for the title...... (and you're not to laugh ok, it was serous, not even a tiny little titter you understand..)

I had a phonecall from OH at one o'clock this morning in a right state.
He'd got in from his day out and had let dude (the ferret) out for a leg stretch before going to bed. They had both gone down the stairs side by side except the ferret tripped and fell the last 2 stairs landing direclty under OH's great big galumphing size tens....    Next thing poor ferret nearly has 11 stone of OH standing on the middle of his body:eek:

Poor thing wasn't moving, was breathing heavily and his nose and ears had gone red.... On the blooming day that i'm away on business too. Cue emergency trip to the vets at 2 o'clock this morning :o 4 injections:o :o and the vet warning an absolutely distraught OH not to expect him to make it through the night:o :o:o

Well, it is now 1541 and I am pleased to announce that wee dude is still with us.:T He is very very sore and not moving around to much, we just need to wait and see how he recovers over the next few days, but he is a very lucky boy.:T

Poor OH however has not been as fortunate. I have absolutely NO idea what an emergency call out fee at 2 am costs in vet land and am dreadin that bill coming through:o

OH was going to enjoy the benefits of a month council tax free.... and i quote "there goes my new cricket bat then.... "

Response from moi.... "Yup, looks that way!!! "

If he'd have been insured it would have been no problem....

Thanks for all the support and understanding on the books, I too found them sooo hard to sell to start with especially when my beloved Terry Pratchett hardbacks were going for a song. But that was at a time when i needed to sell them to get through the month. Nowadays i am selling ones that I know i'm not going to read again, random books that i never really read to start with. For example "between a rock and a hard place" about a guy who fell while out climbing in the arizona desert, got his arm trapped behind a rock adn had to cut it off with a swiss army knife to escape... And this is a real life book!!  Had it as a pressie but was just to squeamish, still it is a brand new book on amazon... also a book called "the washing machine" about money laundering and how it affects society. Not quite so hard to get rid of those two...:D I know what you mean about moving with so much "stuff" karma... :o

The running is going really well thanks sea, haven't been last 2 nights due to up early and staying away last night, hoping to get back to the gym tomorrow night and start off again from there.

Lemontree, really pleased you have a few days off.. say hi to OH for me.. you saying about Lending me lord of the rings has jogged my mind.. I think i have a copy of it at mums.... (quick phone call to confirm or deny, one mo..:o )Stoopido if so!:D Heading down your way thursday next week so may have a coffee then, won't leave it so late to confirm next time...

Right am going to post this before i answer the very long and very complex question of new zealand, else i'll have everyone asleep again...:o

  • afternoon! Poor ferrett! Hope he pulls through...even more that OH pays the whole bill - not your fault he got legless! I'm sure the NZ is a toughie - just wanted to be a voice of reason amongst the "yeah go for it" and give you permission to change your mid IYKWIM!! You dont have to justify ANY decision, to anybody - least of all someone you've never met :) !! At the end of the day you'll do what you feel is right (yuck dotty cat dribbling on my arm!) ... great that the running going well - still none done my end! Goin o se dr tomorrow to see when I can start again..feel very uncertain with five inches of stiches accross my back!

ISOM, you're post was NOT very unpopular in the least and i thank you for being open enough to say what you did. I do understand your concerns entirely. You commented on your diary about wanting to be a good friend, and trust me, you are. So thankyou. xxx

Well that response shocked even me for a minute so have removed it now you've seen it. SOmetimes my fingers have a habit of typing things i don't even realise they are going to type. eep!!

So anyway, it's gone, like magic, the beayty of editing! lol.
