Best landline free/4G router?

I tried all sorts of external aerials with my B310. Cross polarised yagis of increasing gain, high gain omni-directional collinear antenna. You name it, I tried it.

I found the best results by using the internal aerials in the B310 and mounting the router as high as possible inside a weatherproof housing. It is also directional so knowing where the local masts are helps.

I find this Android app very useful for tweeking...

Probably a silly Q but did you change the settings to the external antenna? Until i watched a video on it i had no idea about it, and never seen it mentioned here or on other forums on the web.
