O2 / Tesco Mobile unlock req. or not

Hi all,

I am looking at getting a SE K800i, however I am on Tesco mobile PAYG.

I have a £30 voucher for Argos and they have a K800i on O2 for £99.95

As Tesco mobile piggyback on O2. Would the Tesco sim work in the O2 phone without the need to get it unlocked??

yes it should work

my k810i is locked to t-mobile and it works with virgin sims.

the k800i is a brilliant phone and the camera is excellent if you use the right settings

Carphone Warehouse have the SE K800i for £79.99 on o2.

You need to top up £10 however if you have an o2 SIM lying around, ask them to perform an upgrade, waiving the £10 compulsary top up.

Still a little more expensive than Argos will be with your voucher however the phone will be unlocked and unbranded which is definitely worth paying extra for since they're difficult to unlock.
