Only if they are financially linked by something such as a joint account.

    Is this correct?
Our joint current account does not show up on my credit report.
I thought only credit accounts were reported and not savings or current accounts.

I do however have a financial connection through a joint mortgage application.

If the insurer takes it to court and she ends up with a CCJ it could affect your ability to get credit.

But if she offers a payment plan and it’s reasonable wrt her savings and income then this is unlikely to go to court isn’t it?

Hadn't spotted that, so you are of course correct.

Have you checked all your credit reports? Savings accounts wouldn't be reported but many current accounts are, especially if the account has an overdraft facility so could be used for borrowing.

I’m pretty sure I’ve not seen my joint account on equifax, Experian or call credit and it’s £1500 overdraft.

Maybe it’s an exception for some reason.

I've just had a look at my last Experian and Equifax reports and both of them report on all of the current accounts I hold at Metro, First Direct, Tesco, Nationwide, TSB and Halifax, so I'm unsure why your account is not reported on any of the CRAs.

Ok, thanks. I’ll accept it’s an exception.

    How old is it?

If it's an older account, the terms you accepted at opening may have limited the bank to reporting to the CRA(s) only when you are in breach of your terms.
