iphone not working, won't connect to itunes, won't switch on?

Hello


My iphone 5 won't connect to itunes, won't switch on. I pressed the home and power button and it brings up the apple logo then screen goes black but won't do anything else



Any advice??

Does it acknowledge that its charging (battery icon on screen with red line) or does nothing happen at all?

No it doesn't show it charging, nothing happens after the apple logo, screen just goes black then

But mine was at least showing the battery whilst trying to charge

Tried this with the hairdryer and no luck

Just tried this, iphone still had black screen but it did connect to itunes, however, got this error message The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (2005)

now its stuck in recovery mode???
