EasyJet refund

Hi guys, sorry if this is in the incorrect section.
I recently flew Bristol > Edinburgh and reserved seats due to having a little one and a nervous flyer wife. Just before we got onto the plane we were told the plane had been changed and the seating plan was out of the window.
We got onboard and found someone in my seat, flight attendants just said to sit anywhere as there are less seats on this plane. I contacted easyJet who told me I wasn’t entitled to a refund for the reserved seats.
My question: am I entitled to my money back as they didn’t allow me to sit in the seats we booked?

As always, you should contact them and politely ask for a refund.
If it came to court, they could probably argue that the fee you paid was to request particular seats. However, if everyone knew that the seat reservation fee was for nothing and non-returnable then many people would stop paying it, so my guess is that under the circumstances they will refund it to you to make you keep quiet, so long as you are polite.0
