Have you checked the fridge socket to with a light to see if its the socket of the fridge that isn't working?
If the light comes on when the door is opened, it may be nothing more than the thermostat turned down to zero. As for the lights in the rest of the house, check the bulbs.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Fuses - plug of fridge, in fused connection unit controlling that socket (if applicable).
Dishwasher may be "doing nothing" because it can't pump out into the same blockage as the sink? Worth disconnecting drain hose and emptying anything out into a container.
But Feb to May is 3 months with things being not on/unused so things can fail on next switch on and moving parts seize up.
Light bulbs almost invariably fail on switch on, with a brief flash if you are lucky.
Surely most FTBs have some friends or family with practical skills to help? Maybe a chance/excuse to get to know the neighbours?0
