I Lost my Tools in a DeWalt Repair Shop

Thanks again.
I've contacted DeWalt directly but am waiting to hear back from them.
My tools are all registered online (with DeWalt) and I have the receipts.
I also have receipts from Rochdale Re-Tool confirming I dropped the tools off.
I went up there again and there are no notices on the wall or anything so...
This is really frustrating and annoying!0 -
Could they have just moved and the neighbouring shops don't know the new address?0
-
It is possible I guess...
But the other shops were sure they'd closed. There are no signs up or messages on the internet or when you phone the shop.
If I'd moved shops I'd want to let my customers know...0 -
I wonder if writing a polite letter to the directors (their names and addresses are listed on the Companies House website when you use the Company Check search) to ask what's happened would yield any results?
I've found them on LinkedIn - the Companies House search says that their entries haven't been on the public register since 2017 - and there's one director with a LinkedIn profile, but it's not one of the two people mentioned on Companies House.0 -

Substitute "tool" for "repair" and it's ready to hum.0 -
Meanwhile...
Gorie, you may be able to track the liquidator down by:
a) ringing round a few local to Rochdale, - you might well get lucky as there won't be too many
b) try via the owner of the premises (if you can identify them) who will almost certainly be owed money
unless:
c) Holly's information indicates they've done a bunk rather than taking the formal route
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0
