ok ..looking for a pay as i go card only deal, already got a phone
am slightly worried about the little catches on payg which can easily mean costs add up.. such as charges for voicemail, minimum call charge (say you get someones voicemail you get charged a minute). these things are a pain.
also wary of companies like fresh who you cant even get an up to date balance from, and who also charge to get the out of date balance... what a load of ...!!!
so i pretty much call any network at any time... the best ones i can see are tmobile everyone at 15p/min any time/network. also three's new payg is 12p flat rate for calls and texts..
does anyone know of any better deals than these? i'd like to be able to top up online, and see my calls online which i think you can do on tmobile. i always thought virgin were good value but it seems like they charge a lot for calls to other networks.

I am in the similar boat. So, i was doing some research over the past 2 days - working out all the network, cost, pros and cons into a Excel spreadsheet - compare them and choose.
I have finally decided on Tesco Mobile which seems the best of the lot. They have an offer now - You pay ₤5 for the sim and airtime (Normal price: ₤3.47 for sim + ₤10 airtime). So, thats a saving!
Then, it is 15p per min and 5p per text. It free to check you credit balance, i think just neeed to press 2# on your mobile to get the balance. You can top up using voucher, in store and online as well.
It sounds very good after doing some research over two days. I have decided on it and will place my order tomorrow. They also do next day free delivery for orders placed before midday on a working day.
Hope helps!
