Just find two people who aren't round the twist with coronoia, wear gloves, and get them to sign a separate page for the witness signatures with their own pen, which you then attach to the back of the Will.
Mmmm..."a separate page" not sure about this.  It is the Will that needs to be signed by the witnesses and the standard advice is never to attach anything to a Will.

It would look very suspicious if the witnesses' signatures were on a different page to the testator - there would be doubt that they had witnessed the actual signature.

Okay coming back to this thread I managed to get the signatures sorted with the help from the lock down easing. Now whats the next stage? Probate? Where is this?

Probate is the process of dealing with the estate after someone has died.
Until then, just keep the signed will safe and let the executors know where it is kept.

Before you start firing off random, unrelated questions again, please go back to the beginning of this very long thread.

Once you have read, and understood :*  the answers you've already been given, and read the information in the links already provided, come back with any specific questions you still have on your parents' current situation.

I was just confused. Had a reply suggesting a will is suffice and had a reply saying probate is needed so I asked again to clarify. Hope I did not offend anyone.

Okay I checked and .Gov stating the fee for Probate registry is £215.

As someone mentioned earlier in this thread that both parents requiring a will each, does that mean each will needs to be registered so £215 x 2 = £430 total fees for 2 wills?

Is anyone actually dead?   A will is by the living to act upon when they die.  Probate is what you do after a person dies.
