    Credit files go back six years, but they do have records of any open debt you have with a company which is posibly why your report before was so long.
    They do not keep histroical closed accounts on them.


    Naievety is not a good complaint reason. Good sick pay, cover elsewhere and savings are - [yesp still including that one] .I had a lot of PPI historically, I don't recall ever being told that I had to have it to have whatever credit it was I was after. I always signed for it, it was never added without my knowledge. I don't know who these sellers of it were who did. Yes, it was heavily implied it was a good thing , mabe even as far as scaring you at the prospoect of not having it and losing your job, but no, never insisted on.
