I may be a little sexist here but bear with me - if you ladies lose your bag does that mean you lose your purse with your cards and your mobile - so how are you meant to freeze the card LOL??
--Or if you lose your phone with the card slipped into the back of the phone case what do you do?

I don't think that's being sexist, and I agree with you:)

Its a recurring (thankfully, infrequent) nightmare for me, as it nearly happened once when I was distracted by small grandson.

I would actually like that option of keeping my card frozen until I want to use it.

Which to be fair is what I do most of the time now anyway. It really is no hassle for me personally to just freeze the card when I'm not using it. I froze my Virgin Credit card the moment I'd downloaded the latest app version. I don't use the card for weeks at a time, so keeping it frozen until I actually want to use it is really useful.

Nothing 'sexist' about it. Women use handbags and purses. Men don't. Men and women look different, have different interests, different abilities, think and act differently. Everyone knows this. It's just that some professional offence takers don't like it when anyone dares to say it.

I was just wondering how many people call banks every day to report cards lost/stolen when they are not really lost/stolen and are found soon after. Would allowing cardholders to block cards in this way actually save the banks money by not having to send out lots of replacement cards unnecessarily?
