No Fault - Car write-off - Valuation low

I am aware of that - but my car colour was rare and also the red isn't metallic like the car I had - so technically cheaper paint option - but regardless - I haven't really been able to find much close - Most are well above this price - so that would suggest a low payout not an equivalent.
Bare in mind this was not my own accident - I would rather buy the car from a reputable garage as they give a guarantee etc - private seller could work but it's a risk I didn't take last time.
A one-off low valued car doesn't equate to market value overall.
The fact you displayed 3 door versions at the insurers market value implies to me the 5 door should be valued at more.
You like to point out my choice of colour in your posts - yes it doesn't matter to the insurer. But it does make the car even rarer and I didn't write off my car, someone else did, so I should be able to buy more than one colour with the price they offer....0 -

That isn't really true for most second hand cars. As cars age the more expensive paint, more doors, extra spec tends to nullify in-terms of increased value.
Just because something is rare and therefore less likely to be on sale at cheaper prices does not mean it is worth as much as you think it is,0 -

Not if that choice simply isn't on the market, you can't.0

Also, regardless of your opinion on whether it is in fact a fair payout - I did actually ask advice on how to proceed, not about whether it was enough. I don't believe it to be quite enough and I was debating pushing back to the insurer and going back to the start again and keep pushing or not. If there were any risks with that in regards to my NC etc.0

If you don't think it sufficient - produce evidence of why to the insurer you're claiming off.
If they still won't play ball, escalate to the financial ombudsman.

But be sure of your grounds, and don't introduce irrelevancies.0 -

The engine will be in thousands if not tens of thousands of other cars, so will the trim. Unfortunately by the time you get to half a decade old or even a few years old the colour adds no value to a car. In fact the only time the colour adds value to the car is when you're speccing it when buying it new. At any other point following that it makes little to no difference, maybe a couple of hundreds at most. Unless you're comparing entry level spec with the smallest engine to the highest spec with the most powerful engine you're not going to be looking at four figure differences for engine/trim combos on a non-prestige marque hatchback.
It wasn't your fault, it sucks, but that's the position you're in. If you want to get what you believe it is worth you need to provide a wad of car adverts showing the same/very similar vehicles to the insurers as proof they've undervalued it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. It's an Ibiza - so a restyle on the old Mk5 Polo platform.
It's the 150ps version of the generic 1.4TSi that's been around for a decade and a half, and is shared with Golf/Passat/Tiguan/Sharan/Touran and other-brand variants (albeit slightly lower torque in Ibiza than others). "ACT" cylinder shut-off is just an emission tickle to help it meet Euro6 - it lost 10ps power at the same time for the same reason.0
