my 3 contract ends in december and i have decided i no longer want a contract as i am trying to cut back and dont make many calls so payg will be ok. i will just keep my phone from the contract to use on payg.
i've called 3 and said i want to cancel so they put me through to customer options, who sound foreign and didnt seem to listen to what i said. the operator went on and on about how she can offer me a better deal with new phone etc, i could hardly get a word in.
again i said i've decided i want to end the contract when it expires but got all the new contract talk again. it was left that they will call me back as i had enough and the operator was not going to listen to my request.
is there another way i can end my contract? just cancel direct debit after last payment? send an email? the customer services just don't seem to listen.

You could try writing to the following address:
3 Customer services
Hutchison 3G UK Ltd
PO Box 333
Glasgow
G2 9AG
Recorded delivery of course.
Their T&C's doesn't say you have to give written notice so perhaps try calling them again.
