Estate agent showing my buyer other property

Hi - my estate agent is showing my buyer (offer accepted) another property. It is a property I was trying to offer on, but I got the feeling they weren't passing on my offers, as my first viewing was with another estate agent.

Is this normal? My estate agent showing my buyer other properties?

I am just gobsmacked and don't know what to think. What would you do?

Well he's not going at gun point is he? Your buyers still looking, keep in mind your sale may fall through.

2 can play that game so keep your property on the market, you may get another offer.

Think if you want to change agents, you've a lot of paranoia building up over this agent.

Have you considered that you buyers may have asked him to do that?

How do you know this? And why do you think the EA didn't pass on your offer on the property.

If what you say is true, I'd leave your property on the market until they confirmed mortgage offer has been received, AND the survey had been completed.

But I suspect at least some of what you say isn't true.

I think they weren't passing on offers as I originally saw the property with another estate agent.

They called to tell me they were showing my buyer the property. It just doesn't seem ethical.

Hi -it's not duplicate. This is asking about my estate agent showing my buyer (whose offer I accepted) other properties. Would welcome your feedback.

    From your earlier thread:

My estate agent has now shown my buyer (offer accepted) the property I was trying to put offers on.

I am absolutely gobsmacked - is this legal?

I assume this is sideways move, as why would your buyer be looking at properties you were interested in.

Usually two parties in a chain aren't pursuing similar properties (I'm assuming in your local area) to each other.
