a court case, for the same company , same location
perhaps its a misread, perhaps its a clone issue , but ideally you get on with it now and dont await court papers
the SAR goes by email to MINSTER to their DPO , asap (no letters) with a V5C picture atatched
and the request to the DVLA goes direct to them by email, although their reply will be posted within 30 days or so
I won't await court papers, that is the last thing I need. I'm in the middle of purchasing a house and don't need this looming over me!
So I have to email the people who manage the car park asking for clear photos of the vehicle and advise I was not in the area at the time and have reported this to the DVLA.
Then I email the DVLA directly (at the email address in the linked thread) advising that there has been a data breach and I believe they have released my data to a third party incorrectly, as I was not in the area, and this is like to be an issue with their reader.
Then in a few weeks, I appeal with any information I have from the DVLA?
Do I need to speak to the police about this, on the off chance my plates have been cloned? Just for an incident number?0 -
no , not I , use MY VEHICLE
never use the following personal words "MY , ME , MYSELF & I" - not needed and blabs about who did what , less is more in these cases so get your ME and I ideas out of your head , there is no ME or I
they monitor vehicle number plates , not people

And this is just regarding the email to the parking company, yes? I can refer to myself as "I" in the email to the DVLA?0 -
YOU are the KEEPER, so are writing as the KEEPER about MY VEHICLE
there should be no reason to use personal details like "ME , MYSELF & I"0 -

Thank you very much. I have drafted an email to the DVLA - could people just have a quick look and tell me if it's okay?
"To whom it may concern,
I have reason to believe that you have provided my data to a third party (Minister Baywatch) in error. I have received a parking ticket for an area in which I have never been and while my vehicle was parked at my residential address. Nobody else has access to my vehicle. The only explanation is that the PPC in place in the carpark has misread the VRN.
Can you please advise what you are going to do regarding this data breach?"0 -
I'm sorry, I am not really sure what to say in my email to their privacy team in regards to requesting the photos. What is the best way to word this - short and to the point, just stating the reference number, with a copy of my logbook, requesting the photos? Or do I explain that I have spoken to the DVLA about the potential breach and that the photo is not my vehicle?0

the NEWBIES sticky thread has advice on all of this , have you read it yet ?
I hope you are using a laptop and not a phone ?0 -
"To whom it may concern" - where did that come from?
Business letters start - Dear Sirs, and end Yours faithfully.0 -

Sorry, that was just me typing something out quickly (and my go to letter heading, shamefully). I'll amend it.
Do I need to speak to the police on the off chance that my plates have been cloned? The photo of it is incredibly clear, so I don't see how it could have been misread?0
