Thames Water not charging my account anymore

Hello,
I have been with Thames water for nearly 10 years and set up my direct debit once.
Yesterday I was overhauling my expenses and I have noticed that for 5 months they have not charged me.
The direct debit is still standing I have checked it.
What could have gone wrong? and what can I do?
