I'm new to this forum so please be gentle - I noticed on my bank statement a charge from D&G Applicance Care, I called them and was told it was for a policy on a washing machine since 2006. Upon investigation with the call centre it was a poliy that auto renewed each year - he was right and my bad that I hadn't noticed before but I presumed it was an amount for a life insurance policy as the reference was only just changed. Now the thing is that I moved in 2007 to a new house that had washing machine so washing machine never came with me. I was unaware really that I even had the policy as at the time I paid a repair fee which then turned into a policy I'm told. The renewals apparently have been sent to my old house for the last 13 years.
Ok so I know Ive been a fool in noticeing this for 13 years but after speaking with the resolution centre he seems to think if I can provide him with proof when I moved in 2007 then he maybe able to refund all of the premiums. It does seem too good to be true and I would welcome 13 years x £15 so was looking for a bit of advice on if there is any thing I can say or add ie. miselling insurance as I've never seen a renewal notice as moved house - anyone pointers on what I can say to them when I send across documents to hopefully ensure I get a refund
