Can’t find prime video app ?

I have just bought a new digihome 43UHDHDR smart tv. I can’t find the amazon prime app. It’s got internet and Netflix etc. So if I wanted to sign into watch prime video , am I going to have to go into the internet every time and watch via that method ? Any advice is really helpful

Not every manufacturer's TV has Amazon pre-loaded, though most have. You appear to have one which doesn't.

Don't be surprised if it won't work through the built in browser (if that's what you intend), they tend to be very limited.

A Firestick may end up your best option.

If I got a fire stick would I be able to watch prime video without having to go through the internet on my tele?

Yes you would, the stick would be plugged into an HDMI socket (and also needs power from somewhere) and will have the Prime Video app built in.

Lesson - don't assume that because a TV is 'smart', that it will have all the services you expect.
Before spending money, can you find a marketplace or app store for your TV to see if there IS an app available?

I can find an App Store and it’s got just about every one available, but not amazon prime. I wonder if I contact the manufacturer they might know if it will be upgraded to allow future compatibility? In the meantime I’ll get a fire stick.

Good luck with that, Vetel don't exactly produce stuff that gets updates. Also consider the age of the product. Hey even top line stuff seldom gets updates. Wait for the next sale and get aa firestick (I would not recomend getting one when not on sale and they do it every month!).

Gutted as I just bought the tele a month ago. I wanted it for Netflix originally and it pretty much does everything I needed.. until I got a six month free trial being a student and now with music and the discount, prime seems to be better at the moment , however I’ll grab myself a fire stick and see how I get on .

I wouldn't waste your time on the manufacturer, you can't get the ITV Hub and the Four app I think on some main stream TV manufacturers sets (Panasonic for one from memory) so there's not much chance of them adding this to yours after the fact.

I'd recommend the roku products as these seem to have everything I.e all the terrestrial catch up services, Netflix, Amazon prime, now TVs, YouTube etc.

Go for a Roku, you missed the Fire sticks going for decent prices.
