    1. You needed to have asked the Judge for leave to appeal at the end of proceedings.

    2. You need to be able to show that the Judge erred in their interpretation of the law.

I think you might be struggling - sorry.

Others might wish to add to this.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Sorry you lost, but you dont have any grounds to appeal this.....
If you care about your credit file you will need to pay within 28 days
How many parking tickets was this for btw?, it must have been multiple tickets for that amount...

One ccj from a cowboy parking company ain't going to make a massive difference to your credit file.............there is no way I would pay £610

Unforunately I run a small business so my credit file is very important to me and a defaulted CCJ would be catastrophic to my business so if I have to pay it I will, but obviously if I can appeal and hopefully win i'd rather not pay it

Sorry that you lost but it sounds as if you had given the judge something to work with you could have won your case.

Bit risky to ignore, isn't it?

A CCJ for over £600 is ripe for escalation to High Court enforcement.

Another one here who thinks you will struggle. Appeals are notoriously difficult. Unless the judge made an error in law, a serious factual error or a serious procedural error then you have no chance.

Minor errors are allowed, the error has to be so serious as to affect the potential outcome.

From your own description no such errors occurred. The fact the case was one sided or that you weren't allowed an appeal will count for nothing.

Sorry to give bad news but I would hate for you to throw good money after bad.

WHOOPS ... not a good post ..... cowboy or not, a CCJ for that amount will cause a problem, credit cards, loans, mortgages etc.

Thank you for your reply but can you explain why I don't have any grounds for appeal?

I feel I wasn't able to fairly represent my self ( both the judge and the PCM solicitor had quite a large (100 pages+) witness statement which I had no access to either prior or during the hearing)

I wasn't afforded the opportunity to appeal the first ticket as I wasn't aware of it until a year later (if I had known then there is a good chance that the subsequent 3 wouldn't of occurred)

Although you dont feel you could represent your fairly those are not grounds for appeal, you had ample opportunity to prepare for this, the witness statement is a read herring

She may have given you 6 months however if you dont clear it in full within 28 days of judgement it will still appear on your credit file

With out being rude since you have prepared very poorly for this, then thinking about an appeal is a fruitless exercise in itself
