it's not legally binding if they discover fraud.
I think that probably went without saying but for the sake of completeness, the conditions under which my last lender would have been entitled to withdraw their offer;
a) material change in your personal or financial circumstances
b) material change in the value of the property
c) we have reason to believe you've given false information about you or the property
d) the conveyancer raises any issue which the makes the property unacceptable to usKnow what you don't0
