Sight seeing when on a driving holiday

Hi, we're thinking of doing a few days around Scotland and wonder if anyone knows of a website where you can punch in your start & finish destinations and they suggest points of interest as you go along?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It's generally called MSE
Tell us where you intend to start and finish, and over how many days - and we'll come up with some suggestions!

Hi there
I do lots of road trips this year my and the wife are driving around Northern Germany and The Netherlands.
We use Roadtrippers you can plan your route then choose to see all attractions along the route i normally zoom in and go along the route and look at attractions which are roughly no more then 10 miles off the route.
This is the one i am doing in July

That's a great website. Can I suggest you pop in to see the Emmen Wildlands Adventure Zoo near the start of your journey? We used to take Biology students on visits there to see how a zoo should be laid out (moats instead of cages). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
If you are using a sat nav then use the Points of Interest (POI) option, I have a Garmin sat nav and have used the POI option successfully. Make a touring type holiday a little more random.0

Agreed! With the network of Forum members might even be able to offer local advice!0 -
Not Scotland, but when in Australia on a driving holiday, we would stop off at random tourist attractions we passed along the way. Some of the best in my mind for views, can be those that are not widely known.
When driving yourself, if you fancy stopping and looking at something you see, do it (safety and driving rules permitted). Enjoy your trip.May you find your sister soon Helli.

I had a quick look at the Roadtrippers.com site and prepared a sample route near me. Some of the locations are marked on the wrong road, some are for places that are now closed, some are just plain random. I’d suggest that it is a useful guide to look at when planning a trip, at the stage when you can check out the places marked and verify them by other means. I’d be wary of just heading out with it as my main guide.0
