Wont accept return!

Options
Ok another fun issue!

Ordered from online company 13th March, given no updates and item delivered 29th March.

Item wasn't fit for use, so sent it back the same day, informing the company that I was doing so.

Lady wasn't for return and item got lost in PO until I contacted them and got them to attempt redelivery, she again wasn't in but went to pick it up on 23rd April.

She then sent me an email stating that I can't return the item as it had been worn and altered.

I again told her it wasn't fit for purpose, hasn't been worn as sent back the same day and had most definitely not altered it. Also sent photos showing damage.

Today she sends it back to me stating that I can't return it again BUT its not the same one I returned to her?

Do not want this item now, especially with all the issues and accusations!

Can I resend it back to her or do I now have to pay for it? ( was purchased as buy now pay later).

Many thanks.

Can you specify exactly what the fault was, your whole post is a bit vague.

It was a hair piece and the hair was very frizzy and broken off.

Her website clearly states returns are ok as long as the item is damaged and this was unwearable!

No and I have contacted Finance company who have put a flag and suspended payment pending me sending them proof of her accepting return.

Imjust worried she will try to get me to pay for the new item that I didnt request nor want?

So I sent the item back to her again (yesterday) and stated that I hadnt altered it in any way and that it had been returned the same day in the same condition as I received it in.

Today I get a snotty email accusing me of attempting a fraudulent return and that if I wish to have the item back I will have to pay for it and if not she will destroy it but that I will be expected to pay for the item in any case!

I really dont want an item that it unwearable and dont want to pay for it either, is there anything that she can do to force me to pay for it even though I dont have it?

    Thanks.

Yes they have put a suspension on the transaction and stated that they will send me an email and I just have to prove that it was sent back and that is all they seem interested in.

Im more worried that she will want to take it further, i.e small claims.

How much was it? I'd wager that she'll bluff and bluster - but that's all.

    It was just under £150!

Edited to say she doesn’t seem to realise that I haven’t paid yet as she keeps saying that she won’t reimburse me!

Always use paypal for added protection... And if a site dont use paypal, dont use it.

Seems like you have done the right thing and contacted your bank? To stop the money from going out your account

Edit: Cannot see them taking you to small claims court You have the full right to return any faulty item at the sellers cost. And as the seller now has the item back, and you have not paid, then there is nothing the seller can do
