    My main question is where you are going to use it. If it's going to sit on a desk at home all day plugged into the mains then go for a decent sized screen (15") and the weight or battery life don't matter. If you are going to be carrying around all day then you won't want something which weighs a tonne or needs recharging every few hours.

    The more premium end of the laptop market is moving towards very small bezels so you can fit a bigger screen into a smaller case but at the lower end big bezels still dominate.

    If just for browsing and docs and if operating system doesn't matter, then you could try a chromebook as they're dirt cheap
