Delay compensation claim rejection (birdstrike)

We we're delayed 17hrs on 15/04/19, filed a claim as soon as we got home and apart from the auto response had nothing from the airline untill this week stating that birdstrike was the cause therefore no compensation.
How do I find out if they are telling the truth, otherwise the airlines can say this everytime they have delays.

P.S I'm not a serial claimer but this delay caused my Wife and I to miss more than a day out of a 1 week holiday with our Grandchildren whom we see only 2-3 times a year.

I just need to find the flight log to check if AM are telling porkies or not.

they are NWNF sites but have free checkers that will give an indication of whether there is a valid claim based on the data available.
If they both say "no claim, extraordinary circumstances" or they will indicate valid claim and due €

Are they solicitors or merely a claims management company? The wording on their website seems a bit "fluffy".

It was the wording at the bottom of the page that sounded "fluffy" to me, but further digging shows they do have solicitors in their employ.
