Didn't have time to call last night, hopefully I should get time tonight, or tomorrow morning.

The way I see it, 1 of 2 things must be true:

1. Their terms don't say that battery problems can't have mail in returns, and they were just being awkward.

or 2. People on the phone are more likely to let you have a mail in repair than people on live chat.

Whichever is true my best bet seems to be to call up again, I will update this thread if anything comes of it. Wish me luck.
