Are you sure you need a replacement? Mobile phones can work as TV remote controls (well, if you have a Samsung anyway......)#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

What bedroom furniture have you got that it could have slipped down behind?
You've checked the drawers, but did you take out the drawers and check the space underneath them?
Oh yes. And we cleaned the dust up! ;-)

No, it's too old a model. Thanks anyway.

We now have a total of three, which is more enough for the standard number of occupants of our bed.
Yes, I once found something in a duvet cover that should never have been in a washing machine but it still worked - wish I could remember what it was!!

Oh well, it has cost me about a tenner today to send off for a replacement remote control for our bedroom tv. If the other one turns up, it will be quite handy to have one on both sides of our double bed, so no real harm done.
The thing is, though, where the blazes has it gone to?
We now have the most immaculately clean & tidy bedroom, but still no sign of it & we are mystified as to where it could have gone to! Here's where we've checked:- the compost bin
- the recycling bin - last emptied the day before we lost it
- the bin liners in the bin - last emptied days before we lost it
- behind & under the bed
- behind & under every other piece of furniture in the bedroom
- in all the bedroom drawers
- in the spare bedroom, in case we accidentally took it in there
- dressing gown pockets
- behind the radiator
- inside the duvet cover
- the linen basket
- on the windowsill, and even on the outside windowsill
I thought I had lost my TV remote a few years ago, searched all over and couldn't find it. I had a new sofa and chair delivered and they were taking the old ones away they put the chair into the van and the remote dropped out of the bottom of the chair into the van. I was going to pay £20 for a new genuine remote but the guy bought it in, it saved me £20 plus P&P . I was about to order the remote when the delivery came so it saved me buying a new one.Someone please tell me what money is0 -
I have found our Remote Control that we lost three weeks ago!
It was in with filed-away paperwork.
We have a shelf of box files - I did check for the remote in the front of each one, but I didn't look towards the back of the box of building society paperwork. Was filing the letter that came with a new debit card. I usually do a quick check & tidy of whatever box I am filing in & there it was!
Still, the new remote does work better than the old one & it means we have a remote each side of the bed now.

I can see that working out well...0
