New shell rewards scheme

Hi just wondered if it's worth doing? It says you earn a visit every time you fill up £10 and after 10 visits you get a reward? I use company vans so could easily put in £10 plus every few days.

If I was thinking of joining a scheme like that I'd read the terms & conditions to see if it was worth it.

    As I'm not, I won't.

Whatever rewards I get from Shell, I transfer to Motability as a thank you for keeping me in transport all these years. Without it, I could not travel.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

Personally, I would just go to a cheaper petrol station. The rewards don't look that generous.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I suspect the point is that the OP's employer pays for the fuel but the OP gets the rewards, so it's all in his favour.

The old Shell Drivers Club was a waste of time. You needed to dispense 500 litres of regular fuel to bag a whole £2.50.

Just had a look at this new scheme and the 'reward' after 10 visits isn't really explained on the website at all, I can only see reference to getting £3 off every 300 litres of premium fuel you buy, which is a shocker. 10% of already overpriced stuff in the shop too.

You never know, you might get a free butty or something every tenth visit which might be appealing if it's not you paying for the fuel, but I wouldn't be rushing to sign up.

I find the new rewards explanation confusing. the old one was so hard to get enough points for anything! the only thing going for shell is that they always have a toilet inside their garages :)

And our local one has a nice man who fills the car up for you while you go to the loo.

I've had a look at this as I had the old card... it isn't worth it - best shop around for cheaper petrol. They have shot themselves in the foot with this - its overly complicated and replaces a very easy to understand system, which means they obviously wanted to reduce the benefits...

If someone else is paying why not but the main benefit seems to be discounts so spending more. My son in law fills his lorry up where he gets Tesco points, 300l 2 or 3 times a week soon adds up.
