XLN Mega Price Hike

I have been with XLN for a long time. I was paying £29.95, plus VAT, £35.94 for a line, broadband and phone package. This has now been increased to £49.95, plus VAT, £59.94. This is a rise of two thirds or 67%.

They are contracturally entitled to price rises during the contract period but this is extortionate.

I enquired about cancelling the contract and I was told I would have to pay £299 in termination fees for the line rental/package and £199 for terminating the broadband. Just under £500 total.

Has anyone any advice? Other than emigrating!

XLN is a business to business supplier. I presume you are running a business as to how you ended up with them?

Unfortunately business contracts are an entirely different thing to domestic contracts so your options are basically either see it out or pay the early exit fees and move away. However business broadband isn't cheap.
