There are 2 freezers people and it's not £161 full of freezer food that's the receipt I sent as asked for the shop I replaced what I am saying is I spent more than £34.60 for the month on freezer food for both freezers and yes my stuff was defrosted to my horror and to cook food I can't easily do this like some of you think I can do this as my child is a 24/7 care child and I cannot leave him alone to go and cook this stuff I have a regular ruteene with him if I change it by leaving him you won't want to know it's not as easy to do anything.
I also have 2 other boys to look after alone and why can't you have a safety extension lead with your freezer and fridge put in and the wires are out of the way so no trips we only use this space for the freezers we have gates that the kids can't get out of0 -
I don't doubt you've got your hands full but you need to leave your personal circumstances out of it, they don't make your case any stronger than anyone else's. You need to rationally present evidence that you had that value of food spoiled and that you did what you could to limit the loss.
The point about having two appliances off the same extension was probably aimed at the electrical side of things - is the extension lead rated to deal with both running? There's also the redundancy option, in other words it's better to have them plugged in separately because if (as you've discovered), the plug is left out or the extension lead fails, you lose power to both.0 -
My mum took the plug out from my freezer to plug in the lawnmower because she thought she was doing me a favour while I was away for a weekend wedding. She did it on Friday afternoon and I returned Sunday evening but all I lost was ice cream.
Same sort of thing here friend had his freezer unplugged by mistake on Good Friday.... noticedMonday evening. Only the kids ice cream needed to be chucked which was good as it was them messing around that unplugged It!
Something smells fishy OP and it ain't the defrosted fish fingers!0 -
And who said single socket I didn't it has 2 sockets to the wall and the extension lead is plugged in and it's a safety one that is out of the way for trip hazards. Do you plug yours straight into the wall if so good for you wish I had the room I could just plug into the wall socket with no extension lead that would be great but as I am in a small place and Don't have the money to buy a bigger place then I'm stuck untill I am offered a new house I bid for
And as for ice lollys and ice-cream etc the freezer has a storage basket for this or other items
And if they did have any problems getting in then I should of been informed as the guys who came knew of my situation where I cannot leave my child alone either of them together as he could see for himself many thanks for the posts people0 -

Again, cut the emotional back story, it's not relevant to your claim. I sympathise, but it's not going to help you get what you want. It seems that Currys don't doubt that their guys made a mistake, so that argument is done. What they're disputing is the amount you're claiming for, which does sound inflated and for which you appear to have insufficient evidence.0 -
Would it b good to post what was defrosted and what was ruined and the recipet and then what was replaced ?
Because I'm getting mighty bugged off with people assuming I am being fishy as one poster says
I have had you lot saying you had your freezers off longer and it was all fine mine wasn't as I said to my horror granted certain things were kept jacket potatoes and a few other bits and bobs which I also have pics of things were leaking and sogging other foods etc I have proof of all this i have given all evidence to them that they asked for exactly how they asked for it aswell.
The full receipt when I get a little bit of time later I will go through the recipet and tell you all exactly how much I had replaced.
my personal life comes into it only because I can't leave my son and I look after him alone with my other 2 so unless someone else is there eg partner I can't even go for a wee I've honestly been withy child for the last 8 hours without a pee I am just posting that here btw not to get any simpathy or poor you there there as I wouldn't want that but just to let you know some of the dinamics of my house hold so you know why I haven't didn't or did things.
I made my beautiful boys and I'm happy but yes things are not done or done differently infact a lot different to other house holds because of the boys bum about boob I would say but that in no way makes me fishy or not normal0 -
I do not take food out of the boxes .
If , when you came to use it, you had a complaint about any of it you have destroyed your evidence of the manufacturer, code on the product etc. That information is needed to make any complaint.
But you do not have to convince anybody on here. You need to convince Curries.0 -

OP - when discussing with Currys, if you are using email - It really is worth trying to use shorter sentances.
I'm not trying to have a go at you but rather trying to help you get your point across properly.
Also, harsh as it sounds , Currys wont care one little bit about your difficult home life so dont mention that atall - It just distracts from the main issue0
