Housing Assoc Repair taken 6 months and still not working

Options
Hello, I am hoping you can help?

I pay my housing associate over £70 a month, which takes care of the car park.

I reported in November 2018, that the only 2 lights in the car park are not working. I have been ringing and writing every 2 weeks or so since then and they are still not fixed. There are some tricky things, like a tree needs cutting back, but I think they have had time to do this.

Which ombudsman do I need to go to, to report this official? I should not have to pay so much for non service.

You need to go through the HA formal complaints procedure before you can take things any further.
    Have you done that yet?
Cutting back a tree at this time of year could be problematic if there are nesting birds.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Hi Yes, I am in their current complaints procedures. But I am just getting phone calls. So I have nothing in writing from them. Which makes me think it is not the official complaints procedures. How do I check?

We need lights in our car park, it is dangerous. So yes there may be an issue with birds, but they have had over 6 months to fix this issue.

They should have the complaints procedure on their website, including timescales for responses and what to do if you're not satisfied with the outcome. If not, phone and ask them for it.
Make any complaint in writing either by letter or email so you have a record, and make sure you tell them it is a formal complaint.
