Just wondering if its worth making a complaint to my bank on how they didn't handle a fraudulent purchase on my credit card after reporting it to them, leaving it to me to sort out to get a less than full refund?

Yes, you've nothing to lose.
Why didn't they sort it out?0 -
My crystal ball is switched off today for the holidays - I'll fire it up next week and see for you.0

Because the item that was ordered fraudulently arrived at my house before i knew it had been ordered(No order confirmation either), so the bank said because it was paid for on my card and delivered to my house it could look like im trying to defraud the bank.0 -
Send the item back & get a refund.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I think a lot of people would agree with the bank.Because the item that was ordered fraudulently arrived at my house before i knew it had been ordered(No order confirmation either), so the bank said because it was paid for on my card and delivered to my house it could look like im trying to defraud the bank.
Is there more to this than you have said?0 -

That's the problem. No one believes it even though there is several recent reports of it happening. The company involved is Amazon. Google it.
So in the meantime i have to fight amazon to get order put back onto my account so i can access it to get return slips, since the account was reset by amazon and order deleted when i reported it to them. They admit it was accessed by unauthorized person from an unknown location. So now i can send it back for a refund that is now less than what the original order cost(due to it being in Euros) plus postage costs that i have to pay. I'm not even sure i'll even get the refund tbh, and the bank and the world regard me as a potential fraudster!
So perhaps i am wasting my time making complaints about it and making a fuss, but maybe when this happens to a few thousand more, something might be done. Or maybe it has and they're just afraid to say anything due to not being believed...0 -
For anyone else needing assistance with joining up the dots, this is presumably a continuation of the story over on this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5988691/amazon-parcel-i-didnt-order
OP - I can see why you'd be aggrieved but would still see the liable entity to be Amazon rather than your bank so think you have a case to seek reimbursement of your losses from them....0
