This is true, but a member of staff at Virgin told me that as full range of seats haven't been released for flights beyond the 330 days, you will not be able to get the best price for a fly-drive until inside the 330 day period. I was looking at September 2020, and price for 2 adults and a child with a basic car was £2500, compared to £1500 for this September. I know this is not strictly a true comparison, but quite obvious that the price for September 2020 will at some point be a lot cheaper than £2500.

I have a similar question, the thomas cook flights seem to be available from Glasgow for next July when I am planning on going (2 adults, 3 kids) but the Virgin ones have not yet been released. Anyone know when would be best to book, and are there ever any sales on either of these airlines? Currently looking at around £3200 for 5 of us including 2 suitcases)

As mentioned in the thread, 330 days out is when most airlines will release seats so you are probably a few days/weeks too early.

Virgin Holidays will have flydrive pricing available for Ex GLA next July already on sale.

July is peak season, and with relatively few flights from Glasgow, both airlines can extract much higher fares than from Gatwick, for example.
