CPS letter

A keeper of a car had just received a letter from Combined parking solutions issuing a ‘notice to keeper’ letter stating that a fine should be payed or legal action will be taken etc etc. What should said keeper do in terms of the letter? There is an appeal link to do with ‘theIAS’ but unsure of what to do/ write to appeal and succeed. No intention of paying the fine due to private land car park. Any help or links would be appreciated, also cannot find ‘newbies’ thread as have seen a lot about that it terms of helpfulness....

You cannot find the NEWBIES thread??

Go back to that screen where you found the Start New Thread button and look down the list of threads until you find one entitled:
**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!

This company is partly run by our old friend Perky (those who remember ) and partial to a court claim or 2

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

Go there now and spend some time learning about the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this

Bear in mind that you are dealing with an IPC company, and that appeals are futile.

After sending the initial appeal template you will find in the faq you ignore everything except the lbcca or court correspondence.

If/when it comes to that come back to the FAQ for advice on court claims at that time

This company is harder to beat then most others due to their signage (in a court claim )

The keeper doesn’t have the pcn as there was no ticket on the car when they came back but the letter says a pcn was attached to the car, can anything be done to this as without it they can’t begin the appeal process?

We remember - and you and I both know who is 'friends' with Perky - a very cosy arrangement, I understand.

There is no appeal worth trying - you know that from reading the NEWBIES thread first, and realising this is an IPC firm.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So shall I pay the fine because it’s an IPC firm and they will just reject the appeal?

No. Why would you want to do that?

They reject the appeal... so what? That doesn't mean any money is owed.

It's not a fine but depending on the signs, CPS might win in court.

Unusually, they sometimes use signs that offer a 'contract to all' to park for £100.

What can be done without a pcn number as no ticket was ever noticed?
