Diabetic cat

We adopted a cat in December and at the time he was in remission from diabetes. A few weeks ago we found out that he has diabetes again. We kept the high protein low carb diet that we were advised about and he is on 2 units of insulin morning and evening. Can anyone recommend somewhere online to buy the syringes and insulin cheaper? Currently the syringes cost us £1.20 a day!
Also we are told he needs a regular fructosamine (sp?) blood test which is £250 a time! Is this normal? And is that price reasonable or should I be looking elsewhere?
