    No I didn’t haggle. Will bear that in mind next time.

    I did get 30% staff discount, second pair half price and a £37 NHS voucher because the prescription in my right eye is more than -10. I have the lenses “thinned” otherwise they’d be like milk bottle bottoms and that adds significantly to the price.

    I’ve always stuck with Boots because I loved the optician. He’s retired now though so I’ll definitely shop around next time
