Looking at that I would say either not preheated oven or not cooked in right place. (did you use the fan oven times/temp for conventional?). Or your oven is too cool, oven's do vary.

Which I did. I thought perhaps the chicken was precooked but it wasn't.

If you followed the instructions exactly. Perhaps getting your oven tested might be a good idea?:)

Agreed, it'll be worth picking up an oven thermometer.

Another vote for checking your oven as that chicken looks almost totally raw after 40 minutes - even from frozen I would expect it to be more cooked after that length of time.

Make sure you put it on the right setting too - I have a setting that only engages one out of the two fans, which vastly affects the cooking time.

I bet they'll have a get out along the lines if "check food is piping hot before serving " or something along those lines.

Ovens vary, so you need to be checking the food is cooked thoroughly and not relying on the timings given.

I agree it should have being cooked in that time but there’s a of issues that could cause the problem
1st the oven might be not coming up to stated temp
2nd the freezer might be set too cold, proper temp for freezer is -18 but some people have set them to cold, -20 -25 and it takes a lot longer to defrost

Bottom line is common sense and you always check before eating

I had the same on Friday night, and while not the pinnacle of quality it was indeed cooked through.

Your oven either wasn’t set right or is faulty - or a timing error :)

They even have the disclaimer in the photo the OP added "The following instructions are guidelines only". But to answer the OP question you need to report to the Daily Mail and wait for the comp to flood in.
