looks like the pile has matted somehow, usually due to walking on it with wet shoes.Wouldnt have expected it to happen so quick. If its a long pile hoover against the pile to keep it standing up.

We don’t wear shoes, they said that’s whats caused it. Hoovering makes no difference whatsoever, the surveyor said nothing will make it better not even having them cleaned..

Is there any grading or recommended use for the carpet?

I had that happen in bedroom carpet - where you would be walking with bare feet.

But it was a bedroom quality carpet.

Maybe you need to find a carpet inspector for a report as to whether there is a fault or if the carpet is just not suitable for where it is being used.

Conversely, I have been told that my carpets looked bad quickly because we DO wear shoes in the house. Shoes bring in grit and this grinds the carpet fibres.

Looks like you are damned if you do and damned if you don't!

Thanks, I’ve sent an email to a carpet inspector, just awaiting his response. I’ve tried to find info about this carpet and believe it or not they are no longer selling it...I wonder why?🤔

My thoughts exactly, I’m sure if I’d been wearing shoes that would have been his reason.

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to update this post. I received a letter from scs which I’ve attached. I’m pretty taken aback if I’m honest. Strange how they are they are saying something different to their surveyor...R4mVTJ4
