Glad you enjoyed the trip and it didn't sound very spendy at all. Good news on the ebay sales and the Premium bond buying :).

Two days of childcare down and one to go. We have been to a football ground with grandad who spent his money on a football kit for GS. Today GS went to another activity , we had lunch out which was £7.50. Activity today was a groupon offer and he loved it. I have played football in the park, golf in the garden and walked through some woods. Children are so full of energy at this age. GS is full of why questions , just this exhausts me ! Tomorrow he is doing a sport activity so I have GD like normal.

Early night I think tonight .

I think it's amazing that you have your DGC Sunshine and the bond you have with them will be amazing. I am very lucky to have parents and in-laws who have and still do help out - they find it harder work now they are in their 70's. My boys were both early talkers and I put it down to the grandparents helping out with childcare on my working days. They left the jobs to another day and just talked and entertained the boys. Financially it was a massive help too and I was therefore lucky to have to only work part time xx

My mum looked after my two while I worked and they loved going to her house, she always had time for them and spoiled them rotten. I was very lucky she was of the generation where the woman didn't work. Ironic that just as they were old enough not to have to go to hers in the holidays she passed away :(

Late to the party as usual,

Your holiday sounded fab - and what great weather you had too!

And what a lovely time you've had with DGS. I agree that grandparents can be such a great help. Like SA my mum looked after my DD from an early age whilst I worked and DD could not have had a bette carer.

    Have a great weekend!
