  • The farm yesterday was lovely if a bit hot, but the animals smelt better with a mask on.The donkey rides were £1.50 a much better price 😂. Today we have been to a massive park with a boating lake. We went early and by the time we were leaving the car park was full . There was no social distancing between the children on the playground, I guess it will be like school in September. We had our 3rd picnic lunch of the week, the weather has been brilliant. The GKs have been stars , they annoy each other all the time but DGS really looks after DGD . I realise how much I missed them during lockdown and how lucky I am that they live close by.
Grandad Ex hubby wasn't available today or tomorrow so I was in sole charge just how I like it . Tomorrow morning we are painting pottery , then a Mr Mc lunch. The afternoon is a opportunity to play at my place .
Finance wise spends haven't been so bad, we have taken our own food, ice cream has been bought and the odd tea and coffee for adults. Grandad has given me some money for tomorrow which I didn't expect so pleased about that.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my week off .

What a lovely week you've had with the DGKs. I bet they'll remember all these good times they've had with you with such fondness when they're older. 🥰🥰

Glad you have had a lovely week off and reasonable donkey rides as well. I am sure they have appreciated all the activities as well and it's great when you can combine the treats without spending a lot of money. I do like those days out. x

  • Our pottery efforts today, we can collect them next week after they have been in the kiln. Not a cheap activity but an one off thing. We went to the park after the pottery making . Can't believe my leave is over again. Good news today about craft week in September is definitely going ahead so super excited about seeing my friends . Paid the bill for that today. Let's all enjoy the weekend.
