I used a handheld steam cleaner that has a small brush attachment - works wonders

I got my black grout back to white with some cheap thin bleach and cotton wool. Dip small strips of cotton wool in the bleach and apply to the grout, leave overnight then remove and rinse. Ideal for lazy cheapskates!:rotfl:

This is a money saving site so don't pay £35 when you can pay £17 for a very similar cleaner available from Sunday 14th

Wish I'de read that this morning as I had just ordered via Argos fast track.
Though I have limited my spending and delayed grout pen for another week or two only on the basis My car was beeping yesterday petrol is next spend.
I honestly hope maybe some cillit bang mould remover+steam cleaner and grout pen could be winning combinations at least until I reach home improvements tradesman hiring status.
Thanks mser's it's surprising though my various cleaning attempts have removed considerable mould since bathroom emergency a few years earlier.

Hoover hand held steam cleaner is proving to be an excellent purchase.
Bathroom tiles is a few hours job and maybe start with some overnight cillit bang when I find time.
Steam cleaner heats up I n less than 15 mins.
Tried one or two brushes which were showing signs of grime being lifted.
Lastly tried a flat type attachment which in effect fits in between tiles perfectly so that's what I plan to use.
Funny as the discoloured grime lifts in black colour so will continue with cillit bang black mould remover
Then hopefully get to taps etc and make use of steam cleaner.
Thanks mser's some decent progress today.

    Forget the grout pen.
just scrape a bit of grout out and regrout.it will last a while before the need to re do.or change your grout colour to something that is not brilliant white.
