TSB Direct Debit and Online Banking

Hi, I have a TSB account I use for paying some bills (it's not my main bank account). I set up a credit card direct debit on it, and the payment is showing as taken on my bank statement and credit card statement for the last couple of months. However, the screen in TSB's internet banking that shows direct debits says frequency is not known, and shows as "not paid". There are no other active direct debits for this. Has anyone else seen that? I'm not too worried as I can see the payment being made in my transactions and credit card account.

Hi.
I have a Classic Plus account. I think once the Direct Debit has been paid out three times, it will show as 'frequent' or 'regular' in terms of frequency. For the paid query, sometimes it's a few days before the online banking system updates it with having actually been paid, even thought your statement area will show it as having been paid. It's just a bit slow updating on the Direct Debit table.
Hope this answers your question. You can always check your credit card statement to see if it's been paid as well.0 -

One of my thee Direct Debits has paid out three times now and it says monthly or frequent, the other two have a dash.
Funny it says not paid. Mine do. But as long as the credit card statement says it has been, and your TSB statement says it's gone out, I'd take it as a technical blip (it's TSB). Or ask in branch next time? :j0 -
I too set up a Direct Debit for £100 pm to be paid onto my TSB Mastercard. When I look at my card statement it says:Your D/D payment of £100 will be taken on the 18/XX/19. Manual Payments received 4 clear working days before the payment due date will reduce or stop the D/D from debiting the account that month.
I used to be Lloyds TSB customer until my branch became just TSB when the 2 split. When I was a Lloyds customer, I had a D/D setup for my credit card (its the same card) and if I overpaid extra money manually, the D/D wasn't affected. It meant I could pay things off quicker when I had extra funds. However, if I manually pay now, it cancels out the D/D. Also when I checked, my account shows I DO have a D/D setup but the frequency date is set to 31/12/2099 (WTH???)
Quite often my statements show as zero payments received for the month (when I assumed the D/D was actively paying in). Consequently, it has now screwed up my Credit Report too. Am really not happy with how terrible TSB are!0
