Happy birthday dumpling.
I'm off to Cambridge this morning to collect some shoes I ordered so I'd better get moving.0 -
Happy Birthday Dumpling, hope you have a lovely day & your family spoil you to bits xx
After much umming and ahhing yesterday after DH finished his running around, we went for a drive and ended up having some lunch in the cafe on the edge of the moors that I went to the day before with my friend! He hadn't been before and was quite impressed,it was full again but managed to get a table- a low one better suited if you are just having coffee really but the chairs were comfy. On a sunny day the views are superb. Once we'd finished ,we wended our way home and picked up DGD from her Mums. She wanted to go on the park amusements ( bouncy castles etc £5 for a 2 hour wristband) Ice cream for her first. The only trouble was the very chilly wind cutting across the park, brrr.I ended up buying a coffee from the ice cream van. The lovely man who runs it always remembers us from one year to the next, & says how much the DGC are growing up !Too quick for my liking :rotfl:
No plans for today really, it'll be a quiet one as the men are at work.I'd better go easy on the food today as the lunches out on the past 2 days might disrupt my weight loss.
Gers- hope Mum fares better in hospital and you get some rest.

Afternoon all. Happy Birthday Dunpling.
Sunny and warmer here now. John and I sat out on the patio after lunch and it was great to feel the sun on our faces.
Have a lovely afternoon all."It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -
Hello all, just got home.
All appointments done and dusted. The dentist said my teeth are fine but my gums are becoming more of a problem. The Easter parade was lovely and the sun kept shining too. It's only 7 degrees but it feels much warmer :j.
Dumpling sorry to be late in wishing you a Happy Birthday. I'm sure you are being well and truly pampered on your very special day. Hope you have room for some more cake:bdaycake:
taff and Holly I am sending you gentle hugs
TA I hope the ointment has started to work.
Gers I am sending your DM get well wishes. Perhaps you too can get some well earned rest now knowing DM is being expertly cared for in the hospital.
Nelski thank you for the update on Holly. Hope you enjoyed your tuna and onion.
Poppy you are often in my thoughts.
Take care all.

Afternoon folks. The dodgy hip and knee are feeling a bit easier for the feet up and do nowt morning! I felt a bit lazy but didn't let that bother me! I have just made a head start on the Friday Tidy by cleaning the kitchen and steaming the floor but the feet are back up now. Didn't want to push my luck!
DD has WhatsApped me quite a few pics from over at the 'van. The weather looks glorious with blue sky and sun. The girls have been having fun down at the river this morning. With the help of the trusty manual she managed to get the gas heater in the van up and running so, night and morning, they are nice and cosy in there. She wants me to join them for a few days next week and I am tempted. She is coming back for dance rehearsals Monday and Tues a.m. before heading back again - with me in tow if I want to!
My new neighbours got the key today and I think I can expect a bit of noise as they are already planning on a new kitchen and bathroom! It can't be helped and if it gets a bit much I can always trip out for a few hours!
I hope the Birthday Girl is enjoying her day! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good afternoon everyone :hello:
The birthday girl is enjoying her day very much. I have been thoroughly spoiled and the house is overflowing with flowers and presents. I love being part of a big family on days like these. I have laughed my head off with my sisters, mum and friends and eaten lots of cake and drank lots of tea. Thank you all so much for your good wishes, I really appreciate them.
I was bought a bottle of pink gin by my eldest as I have always wanted to try it so will be raising a glass to everyone tonight. I very rarely drink so it will be a change for me. It looks really pretty anyway.
Just waiting for Steve to get home and he said he is going to order us a meal from our local Italian restaurant so that is something to look forward to. I am ready for something savoury now after overloading on sugar today:):o.
Hope you all have a great evening, take care xx0 -
Happy Birthday Dumpling glad you have had a good day and been totally spoilt.
Enjoy your pink gin
I read every day but haven't posted as rl has been getting in the way
Enjoy your evening all

Happy birthday Dumpling, glad to hear you are having a good day.
Gers - sorry to hear you mum is back in hospital, hope they are able to sort her out, take advantage of the time to get some rest.0 -
Evening - good to hear about the lovely birthday celebrations! Thanks for all the good wishes too.
My day was busy but all is better. DM is being well looked after and going for a stomach scan at some point soon. She's a tad confused with lucid moments but no-one is sure why or for how long. This hospital is over 100 years old and she's in an old fashioned big ward, it certainly keeps her engaged.
As a friend has offered to visit DM tomorrow and Saturday I'm taking him up on it and will drive to my home in the morning. At least I'll have one night with my friends - wine and Chinese takeaway I suspect / hope.
Hugs to all.0
