Door latch has dented plaster board

Hi
I am after some advise, a visitor pushed out front door back to get a pram out and has dented the plaster board on the wall, there is no door stopper.
Are we liable for the damage?
I ask cause when I rented my flat out and the tenants did this I was blamed for not installing a door stopper and therefore they weren’t liable for any damage.
Thanks
Kate

Problem is wall isn’t white and it’s not a small hole“There is freedom waiting for you,

If you're renting it & a you're visitor has damaged the property, you are responsible for it.
Whether there is a door stopper there or not, if someone has caused damage to the property your renting, you are responsible.0 -
The phrase is "due care".
You shouldn't need a door stopper to determine the path of the door when opened,it helps but its not a requirement for the LL to automatically fix one in place.
What you describe might be that the pram was forced through and therefore it could be seen as damage rather than wear and tear.
The fact that "its not a small hole" would indicate that the pram was dragged through with some resistance against the wall....
The fact that you are asking others for an opinion would perhaps also suggest that you are sceptical over "wear and tear" and "damage". I think you know which it is.
Without pictures I would count that as damage.in S 38 T 2 F 50

probably best to try and repair it yourself, or the EA/LL will overcharge to get this repaired
as an example, 4x4cm carpet burn from an iron, I got charged 300£ for this"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Wilko sell door stoppers for £0.50 each.
It even comes with a screw0 -

I agree with this, however its worth pointing out that repairing it yourself doesn't actually mean you repair it physically...I would suggest you get a couple of quotes from someone who can actually make good the damage(It will probably be cheaper than waiting for it to be picked up at checkout)
I would also suggest that if the pram is to revisit that its folded before someone tries to get it through the door,a sleeping child is not for example a reason to push so hard that it makes a hole in the plasterboard.in S 38 T 2 F 50

You need a sample of the paint to get a test pot, or you may get charged for repainting anyway.0

Did this go to deposit dispute arbitration?...., a visitor pushed out front door back to get a pram out and has dented the plaster board on the wall,
The tenant is responsible to their landlord for what theirr visitors do.
That does not stop the tenant claiming off their visitor though. They are responsible to the tenant.
there is no door stopper. So? Due care and attention.
Are we liable for the damage? Who is 'we'?
I ask cause when I rented my flat out and the tenants did this
Ah! You are the landlord? That's why you take a deposit.
I was blamed for not installing a door stopper and therefore they weren’t liable for any damage.
Blamed by who?0
