Sony Xperia Data Recovery Please Help

After trying to transfer photos and videos on to the computer from a Sony Xperia XZ1, the photos/videos were deleted before the process was completed. Some of the photos/videos did not have time to transfer to the computer. Is there any way in which to recover the lost files?

I know that the files aren't actually 'deleted' until new files overwrite them. The recovery programmes for this make of phone that I have found are all a rip off price or the 'free' ones have a rip off charge to add a recovery as an extra.

The photos are of the kids at Euro Disney and are really important to them meeting Marvel characters. Please help!

    Have you checked your Google account, unless you turned it off, Google photos will have your photos backed up.

    You'd possibly be quite shocked and surprised at what personal data Google store unless you "pause" certain things in your account privacy settings!:(
