Brothers wife works for hmrc she says (bank repayment pending) means you still need security checked and Will wait weeks due to covid. All I want is my hard earned cash BACK. How can I wire somebody cash it takes 1 min yet it takes  hmrc 1 month. Shocking
I rang them yesterday said will have payment in coming days nothing to do with covid ,
Said the same to me but still pending? Said it had been issued on 9th
  • I spoke to someone from hmrc today on webchat and asked for an update on my tax repayment. He said it had been issued on the 10th but is currently pending awaiting further security checks... he said these checks can take up to 3 - 4 weeks. Anyone know if these checks are normal and is that wait time likely?
  • Is it the larger the amount the more chance of a security check?

Apparently the amount has nothing to do with it. So I’ve read previous - but I don’t know how true that is
  • Anyones status change to issued today?
  • I taught when it issued that was the last part of the process didn't realise can still get called in for checks?

This is lowest repayment I've had, it's just below 3k. I spoke to someone on webchat and he just said it was issued on the 10th buts its currently pending, pending further security checks.
Edit. I've literally just got off the phone with an advisor and they said it's in the 'process of being sent to me' and I should receive it by the 26th of April. If I haven't recieved anything by then to call back. So I don't what to believe

Payment was issued on the 9th. 10 WORKING days from then would means it would be the 24th taking in account the bank holidays. Have that date in mind and anything before that is a bonus

Didn't they say your repayment had been issued would just take a few days for the online account to update?
