  • I have looked at previous threads from previous tax years and found that 2016's first issue date was the 15th, and the 2018's issue date was the 18th. People in the 2016 thread thought the hmrc was running fast ,processing SA's that year. When in fact the 6th april fell mid week so there is the same amount of working days between 2016's 15th and 2018's 18th. There both 7 working days apart from the 6th of that month. I couldnt find info on 2017's issue date but imagine it would be the same. The 7th working day after the 6th is today :) in theory they should being issued today or at the very least this week. Providing no security checks of course. Just abit of optimism, take from it what you will ;)

Repayment pending; return done on the 6th
  • Hi,
I submitted my SA on the 6th. Been stuck on 'payment pending' for days. Just spoke to someone on the web chat and he said expect payment by the 23rd. Last year I had an email on the 19th to say the status had changed to issued. When I checked my bank... it was already in. So I think they work at least a day behind.
I would say first payments would be around 18th/19th again as it takes at least 10 working days to process. However, 19th is a bank Hol... so possibly mid week next week.

I know I'm being nosy, but without giving too many specifics roughly how much of a tax refund are you guys expecting, £100's or £1,000s?
