Reporting Defaults (Timescales)

Sorry DCFC I meant the default only recently appeared on my credit file despite the default being purchased from the supposed creditor in 2017. This is across all CRA’s0
-
In any case I think I will just offer to pay it on the basis they mark it as not defaulted but settlement, I don’t have the energy to continue dealing with all of this.0
-
Could anyone advise what the impact would be of making an offer of full payment, I gather the DCA would not remove the account from my Credit File but if they charged the default marker to paid that surely have a positive impact?0
-
It will remain defaulted but show as settled or satisfied0
-
if I made a payment, would the six year period before it vanished all together, start from the date of my payment or remain on the initial date.0
-
It's 6 years from the default or settled date, whichever is sooner0

Thanks Fat, belly, so the countdown, will always be from the first entry eg the default date. And not reset and begin the countdown from today if that’s when I settled the debt?0
-
The date the default was applied.
As mentioned above.
And in your other posts.0 -
Thank you so much Gary0
