HFC loan - PPI policy document

I'm bloody certain I'd be challenging it at the time rather than conveniently 'forgetting' until a few years later :rotfl: - amazing how the chance of a bit of compo jogs the mindMoneyineptitude wrote: »Only if the PPI policy was supposed to pay out for longer, of course.
I can't imagine any other reason why the payout stopped when it did. Why didn't you complain at the time, I wonder? Could it be because you then knew it was only designed to pay for that period and have since forgotten?0 -
It was all a bit stressful at the time. My wife was off work on long-term sick leave (PTSD) and we were juggling loans and card debts. We have had some success at PPI reclaims (done without the help of any third parties). Hindsight is wonderful and we should have kept all paperwork, but my wife and I tend to keep our finances 'separate' so whilst I do keep paperwork, she doesn't (!). The only thing left now is to reclaim the tax. The R40 form is on my desk.Moneyineptitude wrote: »Only if the PPI policy was supposed to pay out for longer, of course.

I'm not a financial wizz. Life was stressful in 2005-08 - we even had the nice people from HFC put a charge on our house against the outstanding loan. I'm wiser now.I'm bloody certain I'd be challenging it at the time rather than conveniently 'forgetting' until a few years later :rotfl: - amazing how the chance of a bit of compo jogs the mind0
